About the Position
The Market Intelligence Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data and information to provide insights and support strategic decision-making within our organization. You will play a key role in gathering data on market trends, competitors, customers, and industry developments to help drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for research and content development and is not afraid to explore new marketing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct secondary market research to gather data on industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities. This may involve conducting interviews and analyzing publicly available data sources. In collaborating with the client relations team, track in-pursuit projects and develop profiles of our active target clients, focus intel collection on prospecting opportunities and profiles of our target organizations, and collect intel on funding, project pipelines, and in-pursuit projects in emerging markets.
  • Client Feedback and Research: Conduct primary research through direct client feedback sessions to understand specific client needs, preferences, and pain points. Utilize the client intel gathered to tailor value prop messaging for TEECOM’s website, social media, marketing collateral, and pursuits.
  • Competitive Research and Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, strategies, and market positioning. Assess their strengths, weaknesses, and areas of opportunity to support competitive positioning and differentiation.
  • Market Data and Trend Analysis: Track and analyze market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies. Utilize statistical analysis techniques, data modeling, and other analytical methods to analyze the market data. Stay updated with the latest market trends to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and visualizations to communicate Market Intelligence findings effectively. Present complex information clearly and concisely for stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on Market Intelligence findings. Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop market entry strategies, positioning, and marketing campaigns.
  • Market Intelligence Tools and Systems: Utilize Market Intelligence software, databases, and analytical tools to manage and analyze market data efficiently. Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and build trust with cross-functional teams, such as client relations and project delivery, to understand their information needs and provide relevant Market Intelligence support. Align Market Intelligence efforts with business growth objectives.

  • Content Development Source and produce market-specific content that captivates TEECOM’s target audiences and motivates them to engage with TEECOM. Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team to plan and coordinate timely dissemination of content every quarter.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with research methodologies, analytical techniques, and best practices in Market Intelligence. Engage in professional development activities and leverage resources to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Pursuit Strategy and Support: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gather relevant project information, coordinate input from technical experts, and synthesize complex technical content into compelling and cohesive proposal narratives that effectively communicate the firm's capabilities and unique value proposition.
  • Documentation: Create, review, update, and document internal market intel processes to TEECOM-designated repositories.

Additional Tasks:

  • Procure project photos and relevant project data to create project case studies.
  • Prepare media releases and articles for trade publications.
  • Prepare project award submissions for industry-related publications.
  • Track and support technical staff for industry conferences.
  • Monitor bid portals for target clients.
  • Perform other work as assigned.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Market Research, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) experience
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with Market Research
  • Experience with Content Marketing
  • Experience with Project Management Tools (Asana and GitHub a plus)
  • Experience with Pursuit Development
This compensation will vary depending on your role-related skills, experience, knowledge, and subject matter expertise.
