Marine Pipe Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around San Diego, CA.  This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $31/hour based on experience plus $150/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site  If you are a Marine Pipe Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Weld a Variety of Metal Surfaces or Pipe Using Various Types of Welding Equipment
• Flat, Vertical, Overhead and Horizontal Arc, SMAW, and Fluxcore, TIG Welding and Air Arc Welding
• Weld Shell Plating, Fabricated Cast or Forged Components According to Specifications for Vessels, Tanks or Other Structural Assemblies
• Other Tasks as Assigned

Requirements:

• • Minimum of 5 Years of Recent Shipyard Experience; 3+ Experience in Welding
  • Knowledge of Welding Procedures and Various Types of Welding Equipment
  • Proficient in Flat, Vertical, Overhead and Horizontal Arc, SMAW, and Fluxcore, TIG Welding and Air Arc Skills
  • Available for all Shifts
  • OSHA 10 Maritime, Firewatch Certification and Respirator Fit Text Completed
  • Able to Pass a Drug Screen & Background Check
  • US or Naturalized Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Copper Nickel Experience
  • Must Pass NASSCOS Plate Test in all Positions and Pipe Test on 6g Restricted Fix Position Using FCAW and GTAW Processes
  • Certified to Operate High Reaching Equipment
  • Ability to Work at Heights and in Confined Spaces
