Marine Electrical / Electronics Tech (Fort Lauderdale, Fl)

Summary:
A company that specializes in the repair and maintenance of superyachts is looking to hire a Marine Electronics Field Technician. This position is responsible for supporting a variety of electrical and electronics installations, service and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
* Testing and troubleshooting of equipment
* Installation of radars, satellite tv systems, autopilots, GPS, and other electronics systems
* Modifying and updating software as required
* Communicate with customers on how to properly operate the electronics installed/serviced
* Traveling to various ports across South Florida to perform service as needed
Qualifications:
* Marine Electrical and/or Electronics knowledge
* A minimum of 2 years of experience performing electronics and/or electrical service, installation, and repair on yachts
* Valid Driver's License
Preferred:
* ABYC or NMEA Certification
* Federal Communications Commission (FCC) License
