Summary: The Manufacturing Technician will assist with the production of high-quality manufactured products along with cleaning and maintaining manufacturing equipment, recording, and entering data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management. The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe production of manufactured products adhering to company policies to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production. The individual will be responsible for performing assigned tasks related to cannabis extraction, product formulation, product dispensing or filling, packaging, and the cleaning and maintenance of manufacturing and Kitchen equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Efficiently perform assigned production tasks to produce cannabis products of the highest quality, through strict adherence to facility SOPs and trainings
- Preparing formulations, manufacturing finished products, and the packaging of these products (including, but not limited to extracts, cartridges, edibles, tinctures, capsules, etc.)
- Safely and effectively performing cannabis extraction and refinement process practiced at the facility as directed by Management, including but not limited to, ethanol extractions, solventless extractions, hydrocarbon extractions, winterization, filtration, color remediation, post-processing, solvent recovery, and distillation.
- Safely and effectively performing kitchen related tasks as directed by Management including but not limited to edible formulation prep, operating kitchen equipment, organize and review kitchen inventory, clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and equipment, package edibles, quality check kitchen products, etc.
- Preparing biomass for solvent based extraction
- Sample preparations and logging for 3rd party analytical testing
- Performing daily safety inspections for laboratory and Kitchen equipment, escalating any concerns to Manufacturing Manager
Complies with the facility SOPs and New Jersey State guidance on proper disposal methods for solvent and cannabis contaminated waste.
Manage high-stress situations and be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment when the situation requires.
Perform general routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment - troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and regular data logging.
Wash and sanitize all manufacturing surfaces, glassware, equipment, and any other ancillary equipment.
Perform and record all cleaning activities in daily logs.
Record individual key performance metrics as designated by management.
Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime as determined by process demands.
May help in other departments as needed/Other duties as assigned.
