R & D Altanova a member of Advantest America, Inc. which is wholly owned by Advantest Corporation (a Tokyo Stock Exchange listed company). For over 50 years R & D Altanova has been a leader in the Printed Circuit Board industry. We are currently looking for Maintenance Technicians in our South Plainfield, NJ facility.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with distinct types of machines, including pumps, motors, wet process equipment, and plumbing systems.
- The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance on equipment that is critical to the production of printed circuit boards.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery, including pumps, motors, wet process equipment, plumbing systems, and other machines critical to the production of printed circuit boards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machines and equipment to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before they cause problems or interruptions in production.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including piping, valves, and fittings.
- Work with other members of the maintenance team to coordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems to track and report maintenance activities and inventory.
- Always maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and management to report equipment status and issues.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotic automation systems as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in the printed circuit board industry.
- Experience working with distinct types of machines, including pumps, motors, wet process equipment, and plumbing systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
