SUMMARY
Support the movement of work by performing functions such as assembly, final inspection, spotting, and shipping.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Finish, assembly, final and post-inspection, RX Neutralization, blocking, edging, tinting
- Scan, wrap, tape, ship
- Receive orders via, the internet, mail, fax, UPS, etc. sort, receive frames
- Edit orders for processing and distribute
- Cross-train in other departments and support as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- No experience is necessary, and excellent training is provided. Optical experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Able and willing to work as a team
- Able to read and write the English Language well
- Have good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and patience
- Work without supervision
- Must be available to work overtime and Saturdays when needed
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms and use tools provided to complete his/her work. The employee frequently is required to stand and/or sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Safety Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program
