Job Description
  • Act as champion for integration of GMS processes into new product launch
  • Ensures adherence to safety and WPO practices and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to launch processes including Masterdot, GPDP, and Launch Wall/PLOW.
  • Lead workstation and operator readiness process
  • Lead operations planning and execution
  • Report on launch status in all required forums
  • Lead, coach, and teach salaried and hourly employees
  • Promotes the development and maintenance of productive union relationships
  • Coordinate support group activities related to program processes
  • Work with counterparts in CME on installation, development, and execution of build plans
  • Work with PE to coordinate development towards product/process requirements
  • Coordinates launch activities with the focus factory team to minimize the launch activities as they pertain to current production schedules
  • Plan and develop new methods of approach to solve complex planning problems
  • Assists in establishing operational methods and work standards using various techniques
  • Responsible for the effective use of resources in supporting SPCRCE initiatives
  • Launch multiple products with potential 3rd party involvement
  • Support workstation and operator readiness process with 3rd party
  • Active participant of plant staff and their responsibilities
  • Establish and oversee required tooling activities for launch
  • Attend project meetings, acting as contact/liaison to coordinate all activities of launch
  • Develop and execute launch training plan
  • Coordinate run at rate activities to attain program targets
  • Manage SUPP budget

Qualifications
Basic Required
•2 yr. commitment to project preferred
•Strong leadership skills
•Demonstrated capability to implement and coach GMS principles
•Demonstrated capability to manage multiple manufacturing operations activities
•Demonstrated capability in project management skills
•Ability to travel (domestic and international)
•Oral and written communication skills
•High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate employees
•High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
•Demonstrated technical and professional skills
•Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and work to plan
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and techniques.
Basic Preferred:
•Experience in machining and assembly processes
•5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
•Project management experience
•Previous experience leading salaried teams
