We are looking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Associate .
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Shipping & Receiving is to oversee the Shipping and Receiving personnel while also making sure the Shipping and Receiving responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Every employee is responsible for carrying out the company mission statement which is "Always Ship the Right Product, at the Right Time, to the Right Place, 100 Percent of the Time."
Role and Responsibilities
· Stamps parts.
· Wraps product in appropriate boxes.
· Prepares packages for shipping.
· Prepares paperwork.
· Seals up packages and sends out packages determining best method of shipment.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Sends to appropriate person.
· May operate forklift to move or hoist shipments.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· High School Diploma preferred. Some prior experience of Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.
Preferred Skills
· Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Mathematical Skills/Reasoning Ability: Basic math skills.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Excel and Word software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
