We are looking for a Quality Manager who will direct the activities designed to maintain the products produced meet the specifications, guidelines and standards set forth by the highest quality in the industry. This position monitors and verifies products are manufactured and meet the predetermined quality standards/specifications for our customers. The knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations for quality control work, as well as supervisory techniques and a working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures must be used on a daily basis.
This position is located in Galesburg Illinois.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
· Establishes quality standards by studying product and customer requirements with other members of management and with production operators, technicians, and engineers.
· Establish standards by conferring with customers; devising testing methods and procedures.
· Establishes in-process product inspection standards for processes
· Establishes standards for the disposition of finished product.
· Support the establishment of rework standards by devising inspection and physical testing methods and procedures.
· Establishes product quality documentation system by writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
· Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and government requirements; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
· Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
· Completes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
· Maintains quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
· Maintains quality assurance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results..
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform all other such duties and special assignments as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- QC/QA in manufacturing environment: 3 years preferred
- Quality Management: 3 years
- Knowledge of ISO
- Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) desired
- Experience with Control Plans, Corrective Actions, Writing Work Instructions and PPAP’s
- Outstanding People Management skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Promoting Process Improvement, Developing Standards, Managing Processes,
- Familiar with Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Dealing with Complexity, Process Improvement
