Manufacturing Production Control Clerk

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates with suppliers to prioritize delivery dates and materials expediting requirements
• Responsible for accurate status updates and tracking of materials through the manufacturing processes and steps
• Maintains data accuracy by ensuring all transactions are completed correctly in SAP and making necessary corrections
• Assists production and warehouse with expediting and physical movements of the parts to the next internal and external work centers to meet the production schedule
• Assists Production Supervisors/Leads with ensuring that materials and tools for required job(s) are available and accessible
• Acts as primary liaison between the various stakeholders including program management in support of divisional goals
• Monitors monthly shipment plan progress
• Communicates and coordinates with vendors for open orders status
• Supports various Production Control functions and communicate with stakeholders to ensure operations continuity
• Supports the operations and quality departments with respect to inspection workload priorities
• Update and status various production and purchasing reports
• Supports with work orders or purchase orders processing and closures
• Performs manufacturing and operations data collection and analysis as applicable
• Works with Document Control to ensure all drawings and documentation are current
• Works under close direction of senior personnel in the functional area, performs other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Office based programs including Excel and Word
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant manufacturing work experience is required, 3 years highly preferred
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Prior knowledge of MRP systems (preferably SAP) is a plus
• Ability to work in an efficient and timely manner with the ability to multitask when needed
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
