The Production Machine Operator is responsible for safely controlling various machines and equipment involved in production.

Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator include:
- Operate all filling equipment efficiently, adhering to all quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards.
- Monitor and control all filling weight, filling speed, temperatures, pressures, and flow of product throughout the processing cycle in accordance with established quality assurance standards
- Calculate equipment efficiency per production performance standards/specifications
- Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning / sanitizing and operating per manufacturers' instructions..
- Adhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratory for appraisal prior to all finished products being packaged.
- Monitor and control the flow of product from processing to packaging.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, fix, document and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Complete changeovers as required within the assigned shift
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides.
- Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- 2+ years experience as a Machine Operator; food manufacturing a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Must possess a basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn
- Basic math skills
- Works independently within established procedures
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week
