Job Description
Responsible for overseeing and managing the manufacturing operations in the company. Streamline and improve processes/procedures, and initiate and set goals, budget and manpower requisitions in order to facilitate and sustain Company objective. Enforce compliance and adherence with Company policies, Company Strategies, State and Federal Employment laws and Environmental and Safety protocols.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the manufacturing team to ensure efficient execution of production activities.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Manufacturing Department in alignment with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing, on time delivery and other potential challenges.
- Establish and maintain Quality Control standards to ensure Manufacturing Department meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Manage resources, including but not limited to personnel, equipment, tools, and materials to optimize efficiency and production targets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with all levels of the company to ensure coordination and communication across the company.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
- Recruit, train and develop Manufacturing personnel promoting a culture of quality, efficiency and teamwork.
- Create and implement plans for emergency response to resolve escalation, supply continuity challenges, recovery and on time delivery challenges.
- Prepare regular reports for upper management reviewing KPIs and other manufacturing metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledgeable in subtractive and additive manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery.
- Effective communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of and working knowledge of GD&T, ERP/MRP system, Mastercam, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to design, utilize and troubleshoot all types of CAD drawings, including, but not limited to spare part drawings for manufacturing equipment, facility drawings and other equipment drawings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex manufacturing drawings, change orders, and production build instructions and documents.
- Advanced computer and arithmetic skills.
Education / Experience
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Associates in Engineering Technology or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a critical leadership role capacity.
- Knowledgeable in CNC programs (g-codes) for Vertical, Horizontal and lathe CNC machines.
