Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join the Metals Center of Excellence team in Hazelwood, MO.

This is an opportunity to manage employees and perform activities within multiple Metals related manufacturing disciplines. As the leader of the Metals Center of Excellence (MCOE) in St. Louis you would develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives. The MCOE is a capital intense business where the leader will need to acquire resources for organizational activities, champions the One BPS deployment and leads process improvements. Additionally, the MCOE leader develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers from multiple programs, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
  • Customer focus for internal and external customers.

  • Have the ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the MCOE, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • More than 3 years’ experience have managing or leading people or teams
  • More than 3 years’ experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or union-represented workforce
  • Experience with One BPS
  • Experience with team building, developing, and motivating employees
  • Experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within manufacturing
  • Experience with EVM

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time. $128,350 – $173,650

Pay range: $128,350 – $173,650
