Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering;
Or 8 - 10 years of equivalent engineering experience.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings or electrical schematics.
- Basic understanding of symbols
- Understanding of views and details
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions.
- Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results.
Preferred:
- Understanding of Bill of Materials and structure.
- Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment.
- Exposure to CAD Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excel: Vlookup, Conditional Formatting, Logic Test (True/False)
- Familiar with ERP Systems.
- Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma
methodology.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will actively support Manufacturing and New Product Introduction teams by
- Reviewing customer documentation and providing technical feedback through redlines to
improve manufacturability.
- Documenting manufacturing processes with work instructions and manufacturing aids (wire
lists, cut sheets, fixturing, etc.).
- Evaluating manufacturing processes to ensure that Applied Engineering workmanship standards
and customer requirements are followed.
- Recommending changes to existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturing
productivity and improving flow of product. Using tools, including Work Cell layout and Value
Stream Mapping.
- Collaborating with New Product Introduction team and Document Control to generate and
review Document Change Notices .
- Driving continuous improvement on the shop floor, including opportunities to improve Quality
and Efficiency.
- Managing and completing multiple projects on schedule with minimal supervision.
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
