As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will have the chance to work alongside professionals and contribute to the production of frozen beverage dispensers. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Conduct analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing issues to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product designs for manufacturability.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in the planning and execution of manufacturing projects, including equipment installation and optimization.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- Understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, critical and communication skills.
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand, walk, grasp, type, have eye/hand/foot coordination, occasionally sit, lift, carry, push, pull, balance, kneel, and reach.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position works in a typical office and manufacturing environment.
- Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

This internship position is part of theTXWORKS program. Interested applicants will complete the Student Eligibility Form to get started. TXWORKS-eligible students participating in TXWORKS internships earn a minimum of $20 per hour for at least 8 weeks/96 hours for internship opportunities. TXWORKS student participants submit their letter of eligibility with the record ID and their college transcript (official or unofficial) with their internship application.
