Responsibilities
What You Can Expect:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly between Body, Paint, and General Assembly departments, ensuring a collaborative approach.
- Robotic Paint: Work with a knowledgeable Engineering, Maintenance, and Production team to support a robotic painting line
- Process Development: Understand the production line to improve standard processing time, product consistency, and repair techniques
- Key Performance Indicators: Develop an understanding of critical control characteristics in a modern Paint Shop operation
- Lean Manufacturing: Use conventional Lean tools to measure and improve the cab painting process
- Automation and Control Systems: Exposure to multiple computer-based systems that control and measure performance of the paint process.
- Project Focus: Potential projects include, but are not limited to, pretreatment chemistry, paint film optimization, materials management, line balancing, water treatment and sustainability.
Minimum Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
