Primary Responsibilities: As an Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in executing engineering assignments and contributing to larger projects. The incumbent will work closely with a supervisor to solve problems, make design recommendations, and assess results for application, validity, and adherence to specifications. Additionally, the role involves utilizing engineering tools, leading small project teams, monitoring project costs, recommending production methods, and studying techniques to improve existing products and processes.
- Perform standard engineering assignments, constituting a significant portion of larger projects.
- Utilize engineering tools such as FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Mold Flow, and SPC to solve straightforward problems.
- Lead small project teams when necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor and report project costs, including capital and cross-functional expenses.
- Estimate costs affected by design and policy changes, recommending capital expenditure and production methods.
- Study and recommend techniques to enhance existing products/processes.
- Investigate new sources for raw materials or processes.
- Formulate and recommend engineering policies and technical work in line with project and business objectives. Provide supervision to technicians and/or third-party manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications: To perform successfully in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Prefer experience with Total Quality Management (TQM) methods (e.g., "six sigma").
- Display a solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
