About the role:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly/fabrication methods, and quality control standards. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, equipment layout design and workspace for maximum efficiency. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
What you will do:
- Maintain and develop on going improvement projects
- Define specifications of equipment and supplies used in the plant
- Oversee implementation of new product and develop continuous improvement measures
- Ultimately responsible for product quality and quality of fixtures
When & Where:
Monday-Friday; 7 A.M to 4 P.M.; occasional Saturday work;
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 0-2 years experience
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Troubleshooting - Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
- Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Operations Analysis - Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design
- Communicating Effectively - Writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Instructing - Teaching others how to do something
- Process Improvement - Analyze and improve processes for greater efficiency, safety & quality
- Change Management - Analyze EO requirements and implement changes
What would be nice to have:
- Understanding of lean principles.
- Proficient in engineering software such as Creo and AutoCAD.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the material (properties, treatment, and testing).
- Good understanding of customer satisfaction and business skills.
- Basic to extensive, I.E., time and motion analysis skills, capacity planning.
- 1 - 2 years of job-related experience.
- Line Layout Development - Design a new layout or improve existing one
- Line Balancing - Balance line for one-piece flow
