Manufacturing Engineer

Overall Position Objectives

To direct engineering activities with the goal of continuously improving safety, productivity, yields, process reliability and manufacturing costs

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and develops proposals to either correct identified problems or for process improvements.
• Analyze and plan space requirements, work flow of processes and design layout of equipment for maximum production efficiency.
• Provide ideas and implement productivity and quality improvements.
• Work with R&D and other personnel to transfer new products into manufacturing. 
• Develop and implement validation protocols.  Write or revise standard operating procedures.
• Lead project teams, assemble information and satisfactorily complete projects within project timelines
• Work independently or in support of other engineers/scientists in solving problems
• Develop and maintain engineering drawings.
• Train personnel in the performance of their job in a safe and efficient manner and in GMP, QS and ISO regulations. 
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product and process.
• Initiate action to improve product and process flow.
• Qualify personnel to perform specific manufacturing tasks.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
