Statesboro, GA – 1 hour outside of Savannah, GA
$62,000/yr. - $65,000/yr.
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for manufacturing processes, including quality control, from concept development through to production implementation and continuous improvement as well as on-going production support. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all inclusive.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for creation of initial core tool insuring all items identified in DFMEA are properly cascaded to PFEMA, Control Plan, and Special Characteristic agreement.
- Improve work efficiency - to handle this, analyze work efficiency and downtime.
- Generate and maintain line documentation including Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, Control Plans, Workmanship Standards and check sheets for line members and technicians.
- Responsible for setting up production lines for new vehicle(s) model(s) and improving issues
- Responsible for initiating the procurement processes (i.e. establishing suppliers and possibly obtaining budgetary quotations) for such items.- for the fabrication items, specification should be attached.
- Responsible for conducting machinery run-off/buy-off' for purchased machinery and tooling. Duties include assuring conformance to specification, evaluating cycle time, assessing safety and ergonomics and conducting process capability studies prior to release to production.
- Cost savings: to save cost, should do one's best effort. Scrap reduction should be the first priority in normal process. Analyze scrap status and find solution to improve this.
- Support maintenance department activities for equipment and tooling (i.e. PM schedules, spare part lists, etc.).
- Participate in continuous improvement activities as they relate to machinery and tooling issues.
- Robot running condition: check running condition and make effort for continuous improvement.
- Inspection equipment(Vision, EOL, leak tester etc.) condition: check function and parts
- Participate in CFT meetings and support team objectives (i.e. layouts, APQP (Advanced Products Quality Planning) activities, continuous improvement opportunities etc.)
- Participate in all required training. And train team members and technicians to level up their skill, Quality mind set and related to improve production status.
- Support and ensure compliance with current quality and environmental systems.
- Responsible for Mid & Long-Term facilities load analysis and reducing facility load
- Responsible for Establishing and managing CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) budgets.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Engineering degree from an accredited university program or equivalent experience.
- Experience of at least 2 years in automotive field is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Korean preferred
- Computer skills including AutoCAD, Power Point, Excel, Word.
- Have working knowledge of TS standards, AIAG Standards (PFMEA, APQP, MSA, CQI-9), Phased PPAP, ES Specifications and other customer specific requirements preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of production/manufacturing operation and machinery and tools associated with keeping operations and machinery running.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs. (with assistance).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Working on the production floor / maintenance shop with equipment and loud noises/bright lights.

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected). By car, by plane.
