Manufacturing And Quality Intern

RIVANNA is seeking talented and motivated interns to contribute to the rapid growth of our emerging medical device company. As a Manufacturing and Quality Intern, you will work within a team of professionals as we strive to achieve our mission of improving global human health. This hands-on multidisciplinary role involves working within our FDA-registered and ISO 13485-certified manufacturing facility, as well as collaborating with the quality and regulatory team on various quality-related tasks and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the advancement of quality-related projects, including acceptance reporting, production data management, supplier evaluation processes, and manufacturing quality engineering projects on the production floor
• Assist with assembling components according to established procedures and specifications
• Perform visual and functional tests on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Participate in maintaining accurate records of manufacturing processes and test results
• Attend operations and Quality team meetings
• Report on project progress and completion
• Collaborate with members of other departments
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and Quality
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
• Interface with Adobe PDF, Microsoft Office packages, Dropbox, ClickUp
• Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by following established safety procedures and keeping the production area clean and organized
• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Familiarity with basic hand tools and test equipment preferred
• Experience with software languages (i.e. Java/Python, HTML, Google scripts) is preferred
• Advanced Excel experience is preferred
• Independent worker with problem-solving skills
