Our client is a diversified chemical manufacturing and packaging enterprise specializing in high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable Lubricants, Coolants, and Personal Care products. They are a small company, but offer big opportunity and a committed, supportive, and fun group of people to work with. The client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Accountant to join the Finance department. This position will be very hands-on in a Finance department of two.

Responsibilities will include:

·         Provide financial leadership and support operations for the plant through accounting, forecasting, planning and reporting

·         Oversee AP, AR, Banking, & GL

·         Cash Flow monitoring

·         Collections (oversight & direct involvement)

·         Bank Reconciliations & Banking Transactions

·         Oversee month-end closing

·         Preparing journal entries

·         Reconciling account balances

·         Performing account analysis

·         Running various reports

·         Interacting with personnel from across the organization as it relates to the specific areas of responsibility.

·         Fixed Asset subledger (CAPEX)

·         Financial Reporting

·         Daily/Weekly/Monthly financial data review & reporting

·         Preparation of financial statements

·         Audit

·         Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents (with team assistance)

·         Oversee annual audits with accounting firm

·         Work with CPA firm on Tax Returns & Franchise Taxes

·         Submit Sales Tax returns

·         Internal Controls policies/oversight

Requirements/Experience:

·         Bachelors' degree in Finance or equivalent work experience

·         Minimum 5 years exp with 3 in manufacturing

·         QuickBooks proficiency (preferably Desktop/Enterprise)

·         Knowledge and experience with GAAP

·         Inventory experience

·         Must be a 'generalist' in terms of experience (not simply a cost accountant or specialized position)

·         Prefer someone who has worked with smaller companies

·         Self-driven and autonomous
