Life Consultants Inc is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead and oversee all aspects of our business operations, people, and ventures. As the highest-ranking manager in the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of the business.
The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities, while aligning with the vision, mission, and long-term goals. Crisis management skills are also crucial as the Managing Director will be expected to navigate challenging situations effectively.
Your role will involve developing and executing the company's business strategies, providing strategic advice to the CEO, and implementing comprehensive plans to drive cost-effective operations and market development. It will be important to communicate and enforce company policies and legal guidelines at all levels of the organization, while building and maintaining trust relationships with the team, shareholders and other authorities.
As the Managing Director, you will oversee the company's financial performance, investments, and various business ventures. Delegating responsibilities, supervising managers, and providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance will also be part of your responsibilities.
To ensure the company's success and growth, you will analyze problematic situations and provide solutions, maximize profits and minimize losses, and act as the public face of the company. It will be essential to evaluate and improve company processes and procedures, maintain compliance with regulations, and oversee daily operations.
Several key deliverables fall within your responsibilities:
Strategic Mental Health Planning: Implement and create a strategic plan geared towards the enhancement of community mental health services (propose and launch new mental health programs). It should revolve around service optimization, community outreach, resource allocation, and future growth.
Financial Management: Layout strategies to increase profitability and reduce costs. This includes delivering on revenue generation, maintaining operating budget, managing funds & resources, planning for financial risks and investments, and delivering quarterly/annual business reports.
Customer/Client Relationship Management: Establish collaborations with other organizations, schools, hospitals, social service agencies, or government bodies. Such alliances can significantly expand the reach and effectiveness of provided services.
Staff Development Programs: Build professional development curriculum specifically tailored to provide continuous training sessions about new practices or developments in mental health care and Leadership/Management.
Personnel Management: This involves selecting key managers, managing top-tier employees, performing personnel evaluations, organizing professional development, and executing HR policies to maintain a harmonious working environment.
Organizational Culture Development: Creation and promotion of a healthy corporate culture which respects diversity, fosters collaboration and motivates high performance.
Performance Metrics: Setting and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor organizational productivity and efficiency, and initiating corrective actions, if needed.
- Mental Health Services Performance Metrics: Implement systems for tracking the success and efficiency of the organization's mental health programs, including client outcomes, satisfaction surveys and quality of life metrics.
Risk Management: Create and implement strategies for managing mental health crises within the community quickly and effectively. Identifying potential risks in all operational areas and developing strategies to mitigate them is critical.
Compliance: Ensure the organization is following all relevant mental health laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Client Outcomes: Oversee the tracking and reporting of client progress and outcomes to demonstrate the effectiveness of the organization's interventions and treatments.
Advocacy: Encourage staff and community members' involvement in activities that promote mental health and challenge stigma.
Recommended Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Managing Director or similar managerial position
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and their impact on the company
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance metrics
  • Familiarity with corporate law and best management practices
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • BS/BA in business administration or a relevant field; MSc/MA preferred
  • Innovative mindset to drive creativity and effectiveness
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data
