The Managing Director will run the day-to-day operations of the Maryland State Ad Agency (MSAA), an independent division of Maryland Public Television (MPT). The Managing Director will oversee all aspects of MSAA, including, but not limited to, business development, client relations, account planning, analytics, identifying and implementing best practices, staffing, team leadership, media placement, and budget management. The Managing Director, reporting to the Executive Vice President of MPT, is also responsible for hiring and empowering the Creative Director to build out the creative vision and production operations of the agency. Specific duties would include:
- Fostering client satisfaction by building relationships with existing clients to support and backstop the account management team.
- Working with the account team to develop account strategy, budget, timeline, and creative brief.
- Maintaining the agency’s budget to ensure the expenses are controlled and revenue goals are met.
- Identifying best practices and staying abreast of industry trends, including being aware of the latest software tools to improve agency efficiency and quality of services.
