Managing Actuary

Responsible for supporting Actuarial Management

What Are Your Key Responsibilities?

• Support and analyze activities related to the Direct Pay, Local Group, and/or National Accounts Market Segments

• Maintenance and improvement of Actuarial analyses such as trend setting, gross margin reporting, and financial forecasting

• Rate analysis and development

• Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant

• Forecast/variance analysis and reporting

• Product development support

• Segmentation support

What Is REQUIRED?

• 4+ years related work experience to include successful, progressive professional work experience

• Related Bachelor's degree required (Math/Statistics or related degree)

• Current Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of management

What Is PREFERRED?

• Background in health field or insurance field

• SAS and/or SQL experience

• Familiarity with programming languages and PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors, etc.)

• Currently and independently managing projects and/or people

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $104,600 - $169,900
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $104,600 - $130,700
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
