Are you an effective communicator able to collaborate with multiple business partners? Prudential's Retirement Strategies Individual Platform team is seeking a solutions driven product manager to join their team. The Retirement Strategies Individual Platform team collaborates cross-functionally with business partners across Prudential Retirement Strategies to deliver Annuity product solutions to market. The product manager will be responsible for the technical implementation of all new and existing Annuities products. They will work with Product, Calculation Management, Operations, Distribution, Control Functions and Partner Firms to drive annuity product development solutions that align with our business strategy, modernize our offerings in traditional markets, and support expansion into new markets. They will also represent within the agile journey and Product organization as a product and calculation expert. This individual will demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively and train/lead associates in different business and technology functions.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
  • Participating in, including PI/ sprint planning and refinement, contributing to team goals and progress.
  • Communicating technical calculations and complex methodologies via oral and written methods.
  • Demonstrating sound technical skills along with expertise in complex calculations and algorithms.
  • Demonstrating strong product and product calculation knowledge along with technological acumen to help drive understanding across associates.
  • Translating the business and technical requirements to technology and streamlining and improving existing processes and tools.
  • Drive all initiative execution through understanding and proactively identifying and addressing issues that arise.
  • Assist product owner with the development and training of other associates in coding of calculation methodologies.
  • Provide input on business scenarios and use cases and support QA processes for new products, new capabilities, and enhancements to existing products.

What you’ll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years’ product management experience; Annuities or retirement equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to optimally manage several dissimilar deliverables and prioritize.
  • Excellent technical financial services product knowledge with experience in developing and implementing plans/solutions.

It’d be a plus if you had:
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) preferred.
  • Experience with Actuarial Regulatory support for contract filings (Actuarial Memos, Actuarial Certifications, Nonforfeiture Demonstrations)
  • Agile or other iterative Product implementation methodology experience

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $107,200.00 to $159,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
