Role Summary
As a Warehouse Manager, you are responsible for the daily organization, training, and coaching of Service Parts and Accessories warehouse associates. You will promote safe working behaviors, help develop quality focused processes, maintain organized cleanliness, and continuously strive for improvement opportunities. This role will require strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with Manufacturing, Production Control, Logistics, and our Vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Foster an environment in which safety is the highest priority, and coach safe powered equipment and material handling practices
  • Manage a team of warehouse associates to support Service Parts objectives
  • Partner with the Production Control team to ship materials to our subcontracting partners, sales company distribution centers, and external customers as needed
  • Manage and support specials parts needs such as material flashing or programming requirements
  • Ensure Service specific inventory is quarantined and reworked in partnership with engineering teams
  • Maintain standard work documentation, training, attendance, overtime, and process adherence
  • Perform 5 Why analysis with warehouse associates to root cause gaps
  • Maintains an organized warehouse operation that focuses on housekeeping standards and applies 5S principles
  • Train, develop, and evaluate warehouse associates on standard work and confirm their adherence
  • Evaluates warehouse associate behavior based safe working behaviors, quality of work, productivity levels, and adherence to general standards and policies to provide constructive feedback
  • Identify best practices, process changes, operational issues/concerns, and general improvement opportunities
  • Help build a team to support inbound, storage, kitting, repackaging, and outbound requirements
  • Utilize SAP EWM to manage all warehouse activities
  • Verify adherence to Dangerous Goods handling and shipping requirements

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations and distribution
  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading a staff in a warehouse environment
  • Preferred BS/BA in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
  • Working knowledge in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change cross functionally
  • Understanding of Dangerous Goods shipping requirements with preferred Dangerous Goods certification
  • SAP WM or EWM experience (a plus)
  • Experience in leading and organizing teams with a proven track record of performance (preferred automotive/high-tech environment)
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Understanding and experience in implementing lean project initiatives
  • Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day
  • Frequent use of hands to handle materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations
  • Required to communicate using telephone or email
  • Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather
  • Flexible work schedule

Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for Washington Based Applicants: $96,000 to $111,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
