Job Summary:
The Moser Energy Systems Manager, Service and Repair, WTX is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and service operations and leading a team of dedicated professionals. The primary role will be ensuring the reliability and performance of high-quality products, while also fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
Education/ Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of power generation or diesel mechanic experience is preferred.
- 2 years of prior supervisory experience is required.
- 2 years of project management or lean manufacturing experience is preferred.

Supervisor:
Operations Chief, unless otherwise designated.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of shop technicians, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize the uptime and longevity of power generation equipment.
- Coordinate and oversee the repair of power generation systems, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues, defects, and safety concerns.
- Maintain high-quality service standards by conducting quality checks on repairs and maintenance work.
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance and Repair activities.
- Ensure that all repair and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and Repair activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and address any technical or operational challenges.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Collaborate with customers to address their service needs to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.
- Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that increase efficiency, reduce production time, and enhance overall productivity without compromising safety or quality.
- Ensure adequate scheduling of staff and adjust as needed to meet production goals.
- Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
- Use the correct tools and use them safely.
- Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor and Safety.
- Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
- Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
- Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- An aptitude for mechanical service, diagnosis, and Repair.
- Demonstrated experience with repairing equipment.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Demonstrated ability in using Lean manufacturing tools and processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong technical expertise in engine components, and remanufacturing techniques.
- Solid understanding of quality control principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Proven record in training employees in production and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of process improvement.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
- Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
- Pass a drug screening.
- Clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Requirements:
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
- The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position, such as bending and reaching, standing for long periods of time, lifting over 60 pounds, and exerting over 100 pounds of force.
