Responsibilities:The Manager will administer grant awards, implement programmatic services for affordable housing residents, and ensure Foundation compliance with all 501(c)3 rules and regulations. The Manager will also prepare materials to be presented to the Related Affordable Foundation Board of Directors, which have final approval authority over all grant and scholarship awards.
This role will report to the Executive Director, Related Affordable Foundation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the Executive Director to implement day-to-day efforts, and collaborate with the Vice President, Community Engagement, Board members, and other colleagues on long-term strategy assessment, program evaluation, and planning
- Generate Foundation monthly reports and quarterly Board meeting material
- Collaborate with Related Affordable Acquisition, Construction, Portfolio Management, & Property Management teams and various stakeholders to ascertain residents’ needs and identify resident service providers
- Present funding recommendations to the Executive Director
- Engage with nonprofit organizations and resident services partners
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to senior leadership
- Review grant applications and social impact reports
- Monitor Foundation grant and scholarship awards
- Craft compelling online content about Foundation funded programs
Compensation
- $90,000 - $120,000/ year
- Annual performance based bonus

- Communicates effectively with a demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including internal leaders and colleagues, local communities, non-profit partners and government agencies

- A strong passion for social impact, economic mobility and volunteerism as well as a demonstrated interest in affordable housing preservation
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Public Policy or equivalent field
- Three (3)+ years of relevant experience in nonprofit, philanthropic or public/government sector
Physical Requirements
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours as needed
- Ability to travel to property locations across the United States up to 40% of the time to assess residents’ needs and programmatic services
