Summary of position-

The Manager, Parts Sales (MPS) role involves overseeing all Elevate MRO over-the-counter and work order Parts Sales as well as maintaining the company inventory of spare parts, tooling, equipment, and materials. Based in Salt Lake City, the Manager, Parts Sales coordinates sales, shipping, receiving, and inventory control at the Salt Lake City Repair Station and its satellite locations. Rapid response to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and continuous communication to the management team and customer is crucial to success in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

• Parts Sales Management: The MPS oversees all aspects of Parts Sales, including both over-the-counter sales and sales related to work orders. This involves coordinating with customers to understand their parts requirements, providing them with the necessary parts, and ensuring accurate billing and documentation for the sales transactions.
• Inventory Management: Maintaining an organized and up-to-date inventory of spare parts, tooling, equipment, and materials is crucial for efficient operations. The MPS is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, ensuring that the necessary parts are in stock, and preventing overstock or shortages.
• Location Coordination: The MPS is based in Salt Lake City but also oversees Parts Sales, shipping, receiving, and inventory control at other satellite locations of the Salt Lake City Repair Station. This requires effective communication and coordination to ensure that each location has the necessary parts available when needed.
• AOG Situations: AOG situations are critical and require rapid response. In such cases, aircraft are grounded due to technical issues, and quick access to the required parts is essential to minimize downtime. The MPS must be prepared to respond swiftly, coordinating with the team to provide the necessary parts and support to resolve AOG situations promptly.
• Communication: Continuous communication with both the management team and customers is a key responsibility. Keeping management informed about inventory levels, sales trends, and any challenges helps in strategic decision-making. Regular communication with customers regarding their orders, availability of parts, and updates on AOG situations helps build trust and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is a cornerstone of this role. The MPS must understand customer needs, offer suitable solutions, and ensure customers receive the correct parts on time. This contributes to customer loyalty and positive business relationships.
• Problem Solving: Challenges related to inventory discrepancies, unexpected demand, supply chain disruptions, and more can arise. The MPS must be skilled in problem-solving, finding solutions to such issues efficiently and effectively.
• Data Analysis: Monitoring sales data, inventory turnover rates, and demand patterns is essential for optimizing inventory levels and ensuring the right parts are readily available. Data analysis helps in making informed decisions related to procurement and sales strategies.

Education & Experience-

• 5 years’ experience in aircraft procurement, shipping, and inventory control required.
• Front-facing customer service experience preferred.
• Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of the MS Office suite of applications with a working knowledge of Corridor (or similar software) preferred.
• Fluency in English with a strong emphasis on writing to ensure proper and accurate handling of aircraft parts documentation.
• High School diploma required.

Schedule & Travel-

• A typical work week includes five 8-hour days; however, availability after hours and on weekends and holidays is required to meet customer requirements.
• Travel required to support coordination with satellite locations including periodic.

Miscellaneous-

• FLSA Status: Full-time salary-exempt
• Much of each shift will be performed while standing or walking and includes reaching overhead, bending, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work in all types of weather conditions. Use of mobile phones for personal business during working hours is prohibited.
• Position may require FAA-mandated drug and alcohol employment screening.
