- Must be able to work non-standard hours in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Summary:
- The Multispecialty Care and Pain Management Manager is responsible for the direct and indirect care of multiple specialties and pain management patients on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include; planning, organizing, and directing the specialty staff in the pain management clinic. Communicates pertinent information to provide for the optimum care of the patient. Assists in developing and monitoring quality improvement issues and assuring competent staff members are able to meet the needs of the patients served by the team. This requires working with other departments for a continuum flow of information.
- SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Two years of experience in nursing/office management. Clinical experience to include 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in surgery, Pre- Op, PACU, ER, cardiac care or critical care; Previous Pain Management experience is preferred but not required.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.
- Certificates & Licenses:
- Must have RN license. Must be certified in CPR and ACLS.
- Other Requirements:
- Maintain knowledge and skills. Follows hospital service excellence standards of behavior. Maintains patient’s rights and HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures. Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures. Knowledge of hospital safety plan. Math skills to calculate drug dosages and IV rates. Ability to interpret information and act on it. Ability to handle stress effectively. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, sitting, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0-100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
