The Plant Controller position is in charge of preparation and coordinating plant finances and business planning performance. The Plant Controller will provide financial guidance to the plant and offer suggestions to adjust the plants presentation. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, operations analysis, cost accounting, capital expenditures, monthly close, and internal controls.
Oversee the financials of the facility. Standard product costing New products Update all standard product cost. Monthly close end Month end journal entries Financial reporting package Review variance, purchase price and labor Work with the plant leadership team Review inventory adjustments Provide guidance for how to handle different inventory.
Periodically perform asset audits and reviews Capital projects, cost improvements. Model the SPB 20/20 vision, focus, and clarity. Embodies the culture of Spectrum Brands: Speak Up, Be Accountable, Take Action, and Grow Talent.
Be an active participant of the Bridgeton Leadership team and the financial business partner for the Bridgeton Manufacturing facility. Prepare and present Bridgeton financial performance to the Leadership. Partner with Operations to determine and implement cost savings initiatives.
Develop the annual operating plan (AOP) for the Bridgeton facility. Complete the monthly journal entries and the accounting close process for the Bridgeton facility. Analyze Purchase Price Variances and Purchase Order Variance.
Review Scrap, and various spend categories and communicate results with Bridgeton Leadership. Perform labor analysis and reporting. Plan and coordinate the annual standard cost setting process for Bridgeton.
Perform year over year standard cost analysis for Bridgeton. Review, analyze and roll costs for all new products for Bridgeton as needed. Review and approve cycle count results.
Provide detailed Inventory reporting by product line. Facilitate excess and obsolete review and disposals. Review and assist with Capital Asset Requests projects closures and asset disposals.
Maintain and provide EHS metrics. Assist and communicate with internal and external auditors. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field plus 5-10 years of related work experience in manufacturing.
Pet, Food and Beverage related experience is a plus. CPA desired, not required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing cost accounting Minimum of 3 years' experience in monthly close Minimum of 3 years' experience in annual budgeting Requires creativity in problem solving Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced user of Microsoft Excel Knowledge of SAP is highly desired Requires refined organizational and time management skills Focus and drive towards industry leadership and best practices High degree of integrity and work ethics Working conditions: Both an office and a manufacturing environment.
