Job Summary
The Manager of Substance Use Services at Prevea will be responsible for people management, regulatory compliance and quality assurance of Prevea and Libertas Substance Use Services. This Manager will assist the Director in the development, organization, and implementation of department's operations. Responsibilities include fiscal management, staffing and talent development, quality improvement, customer service, and department planning. Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned department(s). Ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.The Manager of Substance Use Services is a leader in talent management and development within the assigned department(s), including recruitment, hiring, engagement, development, performance management, recognition, and succession planning. This position will also lead program developments for both outpatient and inpatient care, while maintaining and growing current programming.
What you will do
- People Leadership: Performs full range of leadership responsibilities which include, but is not limited to; interviewing, hiring, coaching, anddevelopment ofemployees; managing performance and any performance issues; planning, assigning, and directing work; encourage innovation, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, high-quality work, and a positive/productive work environment.
- Compliance:-Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements, including all DHS requirements for Substance Use Services and supervision.-Complete all state requirements processes including yearly review, monthly staffing report and death notifications.-Manage state paperwork and licensing to maintain compliance with DHS 35 and DHS 75-Ensure adherence of all employee's scope of practices-Document and maintain department in accordance with state guidelines-Maintain and update all department policies and procedures in accordance with Prevea, Libertas and state standards
- Quality Assurance-Collaborate with quality improvement teams to develop and implement quality initiatives, patient safety protocols, and performance improvement measures.-Analyze and interpret data, including patient satisfaction data, with providers, department supervisors, and staff to identify opportunities for change and improvement.-Manage the process of appropriately responding and resolving patient and family complaints and grievances.
- Strategic Development:-Partner with leadership in strategic planning efforts and assist the Director in developing long-term strategies and goals for departments.-Analyze department processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiencies and collaborate with the Director, department supervisors, and staff to identify opportunities for process improvement.-Contribute to the development and lead implementation of departmental policies, protocols, and strategic initiatives.-Manage all current grants for SUD care and pursue new grant opportunities to increase SUD services
- Community Engagement and Partnerships-Assist with SUD Community Task Forces-Partner with Libertas leadership on budget and production standards-Engage in advocacy and systemic change at a legislative level
- Assessment and management of patients as needed and allowed under current licensure and scope of practice
- 3-5 years Leadership Experience Required
- 3-5 years Working in healthcare setting Preferred
- Capable of leading the implementation of process changes.

- CPR/BLS Certification: Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program or Prevea sponsored program. Required
- Under DHS standards, qualified to serve as clinical supervisor for Substance Use Services, either: (a) holds a clinical supervisor-in-training certificate, an intermediate clinical supervisor certificate or an independent clinical supervisor certificate granted by DHS (b) a physician knowledgeable in addiction treatment or (c) a psychologist knowledgeable in psychopharmacology and addiction treatment Upon Hire Required
