Overview:
The Manager of Revenue Analytics is responsible for improving analytics for revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and contracting opportunities. This role will partner closely with our accounting organization, operations leadership, payor contracting team, FP&A and revenue cycle management organization to ensure our company has the insights needed to appropriately manage our revenue and drive growth. This position is responsible for supporting the mission, vision, and values of Upstream Rehabilitation. This position does not have any supervisory duties.
Responsibilities:
  • Works alongside Operations Leadership Team (OLT) members to interpret revenue metrics and develop best practices to enhance financial performance.
  • Works closely with Revenue Cycle management to identify operational improvements, ensure appropriate accounts receivables and collections, and drive enhanced cashflow through reporting of write-offs and other bad debt items.
  • Assists our Payor Contracting function with quantification of Revenue opportunities and ensure accurate revenue reporting post-implementation of new contracts.
  • Prepares monthly revenue accruals and ensure accurate reporting of Revenue within the organization.
  • Identifies and researches variances to prior year/budget through improved insights on payor mix, geographical mix and other drivers of rate changes.
  • Establishes and maintains close and collaborative relationship with operations and the Corporate Accounting function.
  • Opportunities to expand into other areas of Financial Analytics and support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance or Revenue Cycle functions; experience working in healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of traditional revenue recognition principles in a multi-site services organization.
  • Experience developing financial reporting and ability to analyze variances and trends.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data and provide guidance to operations management team on opportunities to improve the business.
  • Ability to examine policies, processes and procedures and offer solutions.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills – oral, written and presentations.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
