Manager, Project Management Office
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$46.03 - $x69.05 an hour - Full Time, Days. 40 hours a week.
Boulder Community health is seeking a Manage of the Project Management Office responsible for the management of Project Management Office Initiatives including project related services such as planning, scheduling, cost estimating, project execution, process improvement, and risk assessment.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Business, Information Systems/Technology or another related field
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Two (2) years in a management or supervisory level position; in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Three (3) years' experience in Project Management of a large-scale system/application implementations, preferably in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities
• Supervises project managers, project coordinators, and other project resources
• Ensures customer's project requests are scoped, presented to the IT Steering Committee and/or Portfolio Services Steering Committee for approval, prioritized against other hospital projects, and that the necessary/required resources are assigned before project kick-off.
• Provides oversight to ensure system/application implementations are on time, on budget and managed with the available/approved resources.
• Manages stakeholder's expectations in relation to the project scope.
• Develops and maintains standard Project Management guidelines and processes. Ensures that the standards are consistently followed for all projects under his/her control.
• Provide training, support and mentoring to all Project Management Office staff.
• Complete employee SEEs and competency-based evaluations in a timely manner.
• Manage IT and Enterprise Projects
• Use the Systems Development Life Cycle and Standard Project Management methodologies to effectively guide assigned projects to successful completion.
• Work with the customer department(s), Executive Sponsor, AVP's, and the Chief Information Office to create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations while ensuring conformance to standards and methodologies.
• Lead implementation team(s) with all start up, implementation, and closeout activities including the management of the approval, tracking, and reporting process of Project change requests and coordinating various Project Management activities.
• Responsible for collecting, reviewing, and organizing project documentation, preparing project status reports, facilitating meetings, and identifying and/or resolving potential conflicts/issues.
• Assists with the development of the operation and capital budget for hospital projects.
• Develops and Maintains Project Guidelines and Policies
• Manage conformance to standards and methodologies for the system development life cycle management.
• Manage the development and implementation/use of standard Project Management Office Templates. Ensure consistency of template use across projects.
• Manage the approval, tracking, and reporting process of Project change requests.
• Educate hospital departments on Project Management methodologies and templates. Encourage the use and ensure accessibility of such standards for non-IT managed projects.

• Participates in the Change Control Board to ensure the smooth implementation of all system changes.
• Prepares flow charts/ and/or diagrams to demonstrate process flow or system operation.
• Demonstrates ENCORE! Behavioral standards and effective interpersonal skills.
• Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
• Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
