What you’ll do

The TJX Global Sourcing and Procurement (GS&P) organization is a trusted partner to our myriad of business functions. As a Manager of Category Management, you’ll act as a strategic business partner to the assigned Technology groups, collaborating on the development and execution of sourcing events and negotiation strategies for relevant areas of spend. You will partner with these functions to apply best in class sourcing processes and demonstrate your knowledge of our off-price business model through the guidance you offer during the end-to-end sourcing process.

You will lead a team in the development of Category strategy and execution of strategic sourcing efforts globally and regionally for assigned categories supporting non-merchandise spend areas of the business. You will provide direction and oversight into the development of sourcing plans, targets, and value goals, ensuring Business Partners and TJX’s overall budget and business objectives are met.

• Execute regional and global sourcing events that are high complexity across all assigned categories including sourcing administration and event support in collaboration with their direct reports. Use defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open and competitive sourcing process.
• Manage direct reports in the execution of low to medium complexity events.
• Collaborate with Business Partners to drive value for the business while maintaining high quality service standards. Build trust with key Business Partners to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Participate in the development and execution of contracts and ensuring compliance to TJX Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements.
• Identify and execute against opportunities for specification alignment, process improvement, and demand management.
• Support supplier relationship management programs.
• Monitor and report category-specific savings and performance metrics.
• Collect and actively challenge current product or service requirements; present new sourcing strategies to drive cost savings; recommend new ways to manage demand through process re-design.
• Manages direct and indirect associates and develops them for future growth

What you’ll need

We seek self-motivated colleagues who can demonstrate their talent and experience to identify, triage, and support the smooth operation of IT initiatives. You'll work with our finest thought leaders to correlate ongoing efforts with key business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance or Business.
• Minimum 8 years strategic sourcing, procurement or related experience including a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.
• Expertise on negotiations from development of negotiation strategy to execution of negotiations including long term programmatic approach to negotiation development.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Strong management, training & development skills.
• Advanced negotiation skills and proven experience leading negotiations within the Information Technology category. Strong knowledge of technology market trends and vendors.
• Experience in SaaS & Hardware sourcing
• Strong presentation skills with experience presenting information to executive leaders.
• Highly analytical approach, leveraging your exceptional Microsoft 365 Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• GEP, Coupa or similar e-sourcing/procurement optimization/P2P experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree
• Experience in the retail industry and managing multinational Business Partners and suppliers.
