Job Description
Manager of Acquisitions & Integrations | Hybrid | $120k - $140k + Bonus
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the CFO in managing the financial planning, analysis, and due diligence related to the acquisition pipeline, as well as overseeing the integration of acquired businesses. As the incumbent, you will be accountable for taking ownership of existing acquisitions that have yet to be integrated and ensuring accurate accounting. You will work with the CFO to incorporate these acquisitions into the company's financial systems.
You will collaborate with the acquisition team to ensure appropriate financial modeling and provide acquisition proposals for review. Additionally, you may be required to lead the financial due diligence process for potential acquisitions and report back to the CFO on any identified risks and opportunities.
For successful acquisitions, you will manage the Day 1 planning, initial reporting, and controls. This will include creating the opening balance sheet, conducting working capital true-up calculations, and ensuring that the accounting is accurately booked. You will also be responsible for ensuring that acquired businesses meet reporting timetables and standards, and that they are subject to the appropriate level of control and balance sheet review.
This role requires full responsibility for all aspects of reporting and financial control for the newly acquired business until fully integrated. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that the integration of the business into the company's systems is carried out in a structured manner, in accordance with an acquisition integration playbook that you will develop as a template for all acquisitions.
Finally, it will be necessary to conduct periodic post-acquisition reviews to assess performance against the original business plan and inform future valuations of potential acquisitions.
