Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The Manager Mental Health Quality Assurance is responsible for program monitoring, billing, data, and administrative functions, ensuring conformity with Department of Mental Health and Hope Street Family Center/California Hospital Medical Center policies and procedures.

The Manager provides clinical supervision and clinical intervention for at-risk children and families, and leadership for interdisciplinary training.

This individual also represents the Hope Street Family Center at local, state and national meetings, participates as a member of the management team, and provides direction for the development of Center programs and services.


Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Five years clinical work experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
  • Masters degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.

Licensure:

  • Annual Safety and Regulatory Certification.
  • Fire Safety Certification.
  • Licensure preferred.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience in providing clinical services to low-income families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated group leadership skills and experience in developing small-group workshops.
  • Direct experience in working with families around issues related to marital discord, parenting, alcohol and/or other drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and poverty.
  • Knowledge of the field of child abuse and neglect and familiarity with child abuse reporting laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute assigned projects in an independent and responsive manner.
  • Experience in staff supervision, coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with lay-persons and professionals from a variety of disciplines and at various organizational levels.
  • Skill in organizing and maintaining a comprehensive record-keeping system.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner to professionals.
  • Possession of a valid California drivers license and ability to make home visits to various Los Angeles County locations.

$31.94 - $46.31 /hour
