Jefferson Healthcare ( ) is looking for a Manager of Material Management to lead our team We are looking for a supply chain expert with at least 3 years leadership experience. Supply chain experience is required and experience in healthcare is beneficial. This manager is responsible for oversight of all functions relating to maintaining an effective and efficient supply chain including procurement, acquisition and distribution of materials. They will maintain the supply inventory in a cost saving and timely manner for Jefferson Healthcare and provide professional support with emphasis in supply and capital budgets, inventory control, asset management and adherence to contracts for supplies and equipment. As a key leader within the organization, the Manager, Materials Management will also ensure department activities and outcomes are aligned with the strategic plan and the organization's mission, vision and values.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a related field preferred
- Minimum 4 years related experience required
- Experience in the healthcare field beneficial
- Minimum 3 years leadership experience required
- CMRP certification or like preferred

Responsibilities:
- Develops, facilitates and manages Materials Management Budget to include capital expenditures. Reports budget accountability to CFO regularly.
- Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient supply chain including inventory for central supply and surgical services.
- Examines alternative methods of providing service in order to reduce supply and personnel costs
- Negotiates and manages supplier contracts and ensures compliance
- Serves as resource for Jefferson Healthcare in matters related to purchasing procedures, expense reduction initiatives, value analysis and contract negotiations
- Obtains pricing, product research, and schedule evaluations for user departments
- Ensures suppliers provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) as required
- Participates in the preparation of JH annual budgets for capital equipment, supplies and other departmental costs.
- Member of Project Equipment Assessment Team
- Performs supervisory functions: establish staffing needs, recommends/approves hiring, establishes work schedules, orients, trains, develops, and assures continuing education for staff, assigns work, completes timekeeping and payroll functions, assesses and manages performance, completes performance evaluations, resolves complaints, counsels, coaches, and mentors, recommends/approves terminations.
