Position Description
This position is responsible for administration and management of technical manufacturing activities, including manpower and schedules, budgetary cost control and special tasks. The position also involves technical interface with all facets of the business.
Essential Functions
- Oversees activities related to the support of all departments including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Contracts. .
- Acts as technical interface to resolve manufacturing problems. Promotes a cohesive environment with all disciplines in the organization.
- Manages the generation of manufacturing documentation including operation sheets, manufacturing instructions, test instructions and test procedures.
- Plans, selects, organizes, trains, motivates and directs personnel in assigned area of responsibility.
- Assures adherance to company policies, practices and procedures; hiring, promotion, performance appraisal, etc.
- Maintains awareness of new product developments and designs and participates in design approach and design approval meetings.
- Provides direction and technical solutions for product and operators in the assembly and test area.
- Performs any other tasks directed by management to satisfy company objectives.

- Experience with CAD software for 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with configuration management.
Required Experience
- BS in Engineering with a mechanical, electrical or mechatronics background.
- Minimum 5 years prior experience in a technical role in a manufacturing environment required. Prior management experience preferred.
- Experience in a precision machining, actuation and sensor manufacturing environment preferred.
- Green Belt certification a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
- Must be able to work on U.S. government programs.
