Description
Hybrid , reporting to a specific location where work needs to be performed / collaboration should happen (regardless this location is within a hub) and without regard to where a candidate lives (some employees may end up hybrid who live more than 50 miles away but where business needs dictate them to be onsite at a specific location three days per week).
- This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Michigan IT Innovation Center three times per week, at minimum
About the Role :
The position will report to the Vice President of Loyalty and will be responsible for leading a team of individuals in the development of new, innovative marketing strategies and tactics to drive Loyalty Rewards program growth, increase awareness, acquisitions and spend, as well as partner with the Loyalty Card team to seamlessly integrate My GM Rewards credit card offers, benefits and features as an integral part of GM’s commerce activities (i.e. in-vehicle technology, OnStar, brands, etc.).
The ideal candidate for the role embodies GM’s Behaviors and is motivated by the drive to ensure GM establishes a winning strategy that delivers a best-in-industry Loyalty program that delivers value for customers, GM and dealer network. Ability to lead change, collaborate and influence across all functions, effectively prioritize, and thrive in an ambiguous / fast-paced environment is a must. The candidate will have to consistently tell the value story of the Loyalty Rewards and card program to various internal stakeholders to solicit buy in and support for the program.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Manage the development and execution of multi-channel marketing and advertising communications programs that include email, direct mail, digital, broadcast, web, collateral, social and PR communications.
- Develop innovative solutions to increase loyalty member engagement and increase revenue
- Develop corporate-wide Digital and Dealer initiatives for Loyalty Rewards program
- Develop specific marketing programs for the rewards program
- Partner with the Card portfolio team to integrate specific card strategies and tactics within the larger MyRewards program and lead execution
- Develop marketing KPI’s for areas of responsibility
- Responsible for overall program budget: production budget, media budget, and agency budgets
- Manage multiple agencies: creative, media, and analytics
- Cross collaboration and strategy development with multiple internal GM functions including but not limited to: Divisions, DSX, CCA, GCCX, Loyalty, GMF, Fleet & Commercial, GM Legal
- Develop comprehensive understanding of the Loyalty program market to inform future planning
Skills and Abilities:
- Strategic thinker with ability to innovate, plan and develop new solutions
- Strong working knowledge of database marketing, omnichannel customer communication, and lifecycle marketing
- Team builder who can develop and maintain strong relationships and gain the confidence of other professionals both internally and externally
- Experienced with business planning process and developing KPI’s
- Strong Organizational and Management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to work under very tight/aggressive deadlines while managing multiple projects
Additional Description
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of marketing / agency experience. Loyalty program experience beneficial
- High EQ with excellent relationship management & influence skills, with attention to detail
- A proven & successful track record in navigating cross functional teams to achieve desired results in a highly-matrixed organization
- A demonstrated proficiency in leading development & execution of marketing plans, including roadmap prioritization & management, creation & tracking of measurements plans, executive / senior leadership report outs, etc.
- Expertise in managing and leading complex projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy, confidentiality, and accountability for results
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Operate with high level of time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to organize and plan effectively, in ambiguous and continually changing environment
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills, with focus on succinct, simple messaging
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with, motivate and elicit work from others
- Must be energetic, hardworking, enthusiastic; willing to offer opinions and judgments and constructively challenge leadership
- Must be comfortable working with and at times, managing Senior Leaders and Executives within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work in an action oriented, decision-making environment and be decisive
- Must plan and be able to anticipate risks associated with projects/tasks and have a plan to handle if encountered in highly visible live environments
