Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, math or directly related quantitative Degree or related field. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. Five (5) years systems development experience which includes programming. Skill in one or more programming languages. If position is in mainframe environment, complex systems experience on IBM operating systems or microprocessors required. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. IMS experience. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects. Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Special Requirement: Master’s degree in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of systems development experience which includes programming. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in computer science, math or directly related quantitative degree or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of systems development experience which includes programming, in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. Must have experience with the following: Working in a client/server environment; Scripting, Python, Ansible for automation and NGINX for web load balancing. Development of department budgeting Capex / OpEx & writing Expenditure Proposals; Development and delivery of presentations for department strategies to executive level management; Working in an environment deemed mission critical - strong technical skills, written, and verbal communications skills; Experience with Network Reliability and Security compliance supporting IT Network platforms; Vendor management - Effective negotiating tactics or techniques, build a strong logical argument and compelling rationale to support his/her position. Skill in one or more programming languages. Experience in the technical design and development of major data processing projects. If position is in client/server environment, systems development experience to include distributed systems is required. Experience in client/server technology, object oriented (OO) development or case tools. Experience in the technical design and development of major client/server projects. Knowledge of software and engineering principles. Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education. Eligible for telecommuting from home within commuting distance to Collierville, TN.
