Manager IPT Engineering - Mechanical Controls - V280
The V-280, Mechanical Controls Team is responsible for the design, supplier management, qualification, and integration of the mechanical pilot controls, control motion transducers, autopilot actuation, gradient and haptic feel inceptors.
The Integrated Product Team (IPT) Manger role involves the technical leadership and management of an engineering team responsible for programmatic execution of these systems. The position requires proactive coordination across Integrated Product Teams (IPT), functional departments, customers, and suppliers. A combination of hard and soft skills is essential for success.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Fluid & Mechanical Systems and is located at Bell's headquarters in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The IPT Manager will be responsible for:
Establish team priorities in accordance with program priorities.
Provide technical direction to direct reports.
Manage IPT performance to allocated requirements and schedule.
Coordination of IPT activity with interfacing IPTs and program management
Oversee creation of supplier SOWs, Specifications, ICDs, RFPs and schedules
Oversee supplier proposal evaluations and management of subcontracts.
Responsible for managing IPT schedule, cost, risks and staffing requirements.
Mentor and coach IPT personnel to ensure an engaged and skilled team with a focus on execution.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
Master's Degree in relevant area preferred.
Position Requirements:
12yrs or more of aerospace component qualification & integration experience
Flight Critical Component Technology Development Experience (TRL6 a TRL 9)
Supplier management experience
Mechanical Controls design & qualification experience
10yrs of experience in technical management or leadership
Experience in EVMS reporting and IMS development.
Basic understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering
Experience tracking & managing manpower and material spend.
Experience with system development testing and aircraft flight testing
Experience generating system safety assessments and failure hazard assessments.
Experience with aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting
