JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading PODS Physical Security program and ensuring that the sales and service centers are well maintained, safe, and comfortable. Responsibilities include proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks to PODS personnel, physical assets and operations. This includes the administration of all aspects of the Physical Security program including vendor management, security system project management, access management, badging and maintenance projects, utility system repairs, buildings and equipment for our sales and service centers. This position will also be responsible to provide ongoing incident/emergency management assistance as required during an event.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manages vendor relationships for Physical Security and security guard services.

· Manages the Physical Security operating and capital budgets to include forecasting and business unit planning for other departments within the company in regard to security systems and guard services.

· Manages and directs projects for security system installations, coordinating between external partners and PODS various internal stakeholders such as IT, Operations, and Real Estate.

· Updates standardized Physical Security processes for continuous improvement.

· Oversee major projects for maintenance, utility system repairs, for SSC buildings and equipment.

· Analyze, develop and implement improvements to advance efficiencies on SSC facility operations.

· Administers and monitors security and access management databases and/or software programs, conducting regular audits and reporting on results.

· Supports and coordinates system troubleshooting and maintenance requests.

· Conducts regular monitoring of online feeds and client-specific tools for known and potential threats to PODS security, personnel, assets, and locations.

· Advises of travel security risks to PODS travelers including tracking travel, providing external intelligence, and response to high-risk travel situations

· Receives incident notifications, effectively analyze relevant threats, and communicate to PODS leadership and associates.

· Formulates and provides proactive reporting, briefings, and assessments for management.

· Acts as liaison between PODS and law enforcement units, with supervision from Risk and/or the legal department.

· Monitors security issues or emergency situations appropriately; this includes contacting Emergency Services, such as Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire Department, and Law Enforcement as needed.

· Functions as an Incident Manager during security-related incidents.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

· 3-5 years of relevant corporate security, law enforcement, or military experience

· Knowledge and experience with state of the art security technology, to include alarm and access control systems, CCTV systems, communications technologies, and software programs.

· Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all management/non-management levels.

· Knowledge and experience managing physical badges, panels, and consoles from commercial vendors (Sonitrol/Honeywell/Stanley/ADT/Tyco)

· Ability to respond calmly in a stressful environment created during emergency situations.

· Must have strong working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.

· Travel requirements: Occasional

· Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours.

· May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy
