Title: HR Generalist
Duration: 5 Months
Location: Hybrid in 2 locations. New York, NY and Port Washington, NY
Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist drives objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce. The incumbent will be responsible for the following functional areas: employee relations, employee development, talent management, talent acquisition, performance management
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in the implementation of HR strategy that is aligned with business objectives.
Administers human resources plans and procedures for wholesale organization for the U.S.; Assists in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
o Ensures consistent application of corporate employee policies, including compensation, employee relations, employment, leave of absence and benefits.
o Provides subject matter expertise and guidance in support of employee relations issues, corrective actions and performance improvement process; counsels with management/HR partners on corrective action to ensure appropriate steps and consistency.
o Manage the compliance with all federal and state employment practices. Establish and ensure compliance with regards to HR administration.
o Support the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes. Develop reporting to support HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities that link HR to the business.
o Advises and counsels Business Partners on performance management strategies. Ensure effective implementation of all performance management tools (e.g. performance appraisal, individual development plans, midyear process, administer annual appraisal process).
o "Support the execution of backend processes related to day to day HR activities around the full employee cycle (i.e. performance management, recruitment, onboarding, labor forecasting and reporting, compliance, ER, etc)"
Job Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years Human Resources generalist experience.
Experience operating as a Business Partner, understanding how to add value through focus on the business objectives. Experience working within a matrixed organization preferred a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to build strong working relationships with business and HR partners.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skill with the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
BS degree or higher, preferably in business or HR management.
