Manager, Experience Marketing

The Experience Marketing Team?

The WPP Experience Marketing team is responsible for delivering 12+ international; multi-stakeholder events throughout the year, on behalf of the CEO and CMO. Stakeholders include WPP and Agency leadership teams (C-suite - VP) and guests invited to these events often include leadership at our operating companies, clients (major brands), strategic technology partners and wider industry (start-ups, VCs, independents). Events include The WPP Beach at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, WPP Commerce, The WPP Leadership Conference and WPP Stream.

WPP Stream is the WPP innovation camp. It is a private, invitation-only innovation event for CEOs, clients, and partners. Meetings take place in USA, Greece, South Africa, India, Brazil, and Indonesia. Over the past 14 years Stream has built a reputation as "one of the world's best technology conferences" [WIRED]. 

The team also manage WPP Studios. A fully inclusive, next generation recording studio that enables WPP marketing, client, and communications teams to create broadcast grade content, same day. Studio capabilities includes online conferences and client pitches; executive summits; training events; media appearances; global town halls; podcast recordings; corporate photography.

What you'll be doing:

This role will report into and primarily support the Global Director of Marketing & Growth. This position requires project support, CRM management and responsible for maintaining systems which support the delivery of WPP Events.

CRM

• Manage quality of data reported in CRM system.
• Manage event registration platforms- by updating event logistics and details as needed.
• Use event dashboards to share guest statistics and analyses with the wider Experience Marketing team and Marketing & Growth executives as requested.
• Track and manage confidential attendee information by event.
• Manage and track issues reported by wider Experience Marketing team, then resolve by working alongside internal IT and Marketing & Growth partners.
• Build WPP Stream and WPP event mobile app for guest experience.

Events

• Manage all event tech onsite for WPP Stream and WPP branded events. This includes any attendee mobile apps, event registration and check in technology and any queries related to this technology.
• Attend events as required and provide support to onsite teams. This includes troubleshooting attendee queries and working alongside wider Experience Marketing team and venue to find solutions.
• Support Global Director, Marketing & Growth in delivery of international WPP Stream franchise events.
• Manage incoming event queries via designated mailboxes.
• Oversee and update all content on wppstream.com, from design to event copy.

Team management

• Manage and coordinate travel and expenses for Experience Marketing team. This includes processing expenses, travel plans, alongside calendar management for VP, Marketing.
• Manage procurement of WPP branded items for Marketing & Growth team only.

Special projects as required

What you'll need:

• Previous experience, 3+ years, could include a marketing agency, production, or event- centric role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel experience and skills
• Must be comfortable dealing with internal and external executives, senior managers, and confidential data
• Must be highly organized, flexible, and willing to be a team player
• Proven ability to take initiative and think and plan ahead
• Familiar with social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram & YouTube
• Strong administrative skills and an ability to meet hard deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated multitasker with an ability to work on your own initiative to accomplish tasks and projects concurrently
• Positive and collaborative work style
