Job description

As Manager – Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, your specific responsibilities include:

  • Results oriented HR professional to play a vital role on our DEI team implementing programs to further our DEI efforts and improve our employee experience.
  • Responsible for specific focus areas within DEI: internal and external. The internal focus is anchored to our work around DEI education and alliance champions, employee network groups, DEI committees and cultural ambassadors. The external focus is anchored to our work with strategic partnerships alliances and diversity recruiting.
  • This role requires partnerships with employees from all levels within the company and a passion for creating a diverse, inclusive, positive employee experience. The goal is to create connection, spark engagement and belonging, and measure experiences that make RH a great place to work.
  • Identify, participate and organize event recruiting such as job fairs, open houses and networking events in order to expand underrepresented emerging groups talent pool.
  • Development of new recruiting events and ideas. Represent RH at recruiting related events.
  • Develop alliance and partnerships with diversity professionals and organizations nationwide.
  • Responsible for post-event ROI analysis - including data collection, reporting, and developing recommendations for future alliance related opportunities.
  • Organize and facilitate round table, informational and networking events through associations and recruiting events.
  • Establish and develop management relationships. Identify opportunities to partner internally and pursue for greater collaboration and buy-in.
  • Attend or coordinate conference participation: Ascend, ALPFA, DisabilityIN, NABA, Out & Equal, and others
  • Local events: Sr. Program Manager and DACs and/or Field Event Coordinators to identify opportunities and solidify activities with external representatives.
  • May make formal presentations on behalf of the company and participate in facilitating management and employee training when needed.
  • Diversity Events/Projects: Sr. Program Manager to create form and meet with EPI/Corp Comms and others on engagement avenues, such as focus groups, task force, meetings to discuss
  • Partners with HRBPs and FMM to provide leadership with support for DEI and familiarity.
  • Develops opportunities for collaboration with Talent Solutions/Protiviti.
  • Serves as a resource in the design and delivery of diversity initiatives and implementation of best practices.
  • Assist with development of internal DEI education curriculum and process to enhance this knowledge for all employees.
  • Partner with internal DEI communities of connection (ie., alliance champions, employee network groups, affinity groups, cultural ambassadors etc.) to align to global standards, promote consistency, and drive awareness of key cultural activities.
  • Share in providing consultation in the designing and implementing of Corporate and Talent Solutions diversity initiatives by partnering with HR and other departments to incorporate DEI into training and development and retention programs (onboarding, mentoring, high potential programs).
  • Partners with training organization to provide education and coaching to management teams and operations as a whole.
  • Makes use of and enhances current systems and where needed develops new systems and processes, in order to most effectively engage and leverage diverse talents and to build an inclusive workplace.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the development, implementation and monitoring of focus groups and affinity groups.
  • Assists in the design and creation of educational material for employees that enhance awareness and increase skills in the areas of diversity and inclusion and cultural competency. Assist with support of other learning initiatives.
  • Assist in designing and implementing training plans utilizing Percipio and other resources to research off the shelf bias types of trainings. Assist leaders with creating their own personal stories that align with DEI.
  • Designs and implements DEI communication channels and opportunities via Connect, Yammer, Billboards, Ops Presidents pages, Half Times, Source, etc.
  • Develops and partners with Corp Comms Public Relations team on thought leadership pieces, blogs, articles and incorporating DEI pieces into existing communications.
  • Partner closely with marketing team on all alliance marketing related conference deliverables.
  • Assists Field leaders with talking points for events and other DEI related materials.
  • Identify tracking through salesforce and workday.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, eMarketing and technical team.
  • Independently manages multiple and concurrent program related projects, as well as ad hoc projects, that range in size and complexity. This includes creating project plans and communication and change management strategies. Using global perspective, research D&I trends, integrates them with RH's Employee Experience strategy and make recommendations for new programs or changes to existing programs based on gaps within program offerings.
  • Leads cross functional project management meetings and taskforces, manages and executes project deliverables and deadlines independently and/or through others, and ensure delivery of high quality services.
  • Directly and/or in conjunction with others, creates presentations, communications, training and rollout materials.
  • Creates program/process documents. Identifies and delivers to appropriate audiences.
  • Uses internal and external data and metrics , such as trends, benchmarking, employee satisfaction, retention and industry research to support DEI and the EX.
  • Provides consultation and advice on project execution based on best practice research and partnership with HR or internal clients to roll out projects to appropriate global audiences.
  • Develops network of appropriate subject matter experts/departments to partner with to ensure program and project deliverables are met.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer - ability to reach beyond their immediate scope to influence and lead change initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Works collaboratively with others to develop and implement integrated strategies for talent management with a focus on employee development, succession planning, engagement, retention and advancement.
  • Oversee activities of our Alliance Champions, providing coaching and thought partnership on programming.
  • Directly Manages a Program Specialist in the creation and delivery of assigned DEI Programs.
  • Provides consultation to team on execution if obstacles are identified. Includes full-cycle people management responsibilities, including but not limited to staffing, onboarding, performance management, coaching, engagement / retention, recognition, and development of staff.
  • Groups, delegates and oversees processes and tasks associated with program related projects.
  • Establishes and communicates milestones and checks-in regularly to ensure successful execution. POC for escalation issues of project deliverables.
  • Identifies areas of team members' strength and opportunity to apply right skills to projects.
  • Provides direct report with continuous coaching and performance feedback.
  • Provides training and assists in professional development in order for Program Manager/Specialist to take on more responsibility including managing small to medium projects independently.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business or HR related area. MA/MS degree preferred.
  • HR, project management and/or leadership training or certification preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in a large public corporate environment with 3+ years managing and executing medium to large HR projects/programs.
  • Knowledge of DEI concepts; passion for creating an equitable and inclusive work environment
  • Proven experience developing and rolling out new programs based on talent management trend research and recommendations through cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Human Capital data preferred.
  • Proven experience managing relationships with vendors/external resources to execute on large-scale project(s)
  • High proficiency in MS Office
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets preferred

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$99,000.00 - $152,000.00
