Center City District is seeking a Manager of Digital Communications to manage the organization's day-to-day social media communications, work through the content creation process from planning to execution, collaborate with internal departments and external partners to execute CCD's social media strategy, and continually assess the performance and effectiveness of these efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the execution of CCD's social media efforts according to the organization's communications strategy to share information about the full range of CCD's programs and services;
- Collaborate with CCD departments on initiatives to create visual and verbal consistency in content across social media and other communications channels;
- Create written and visual content, both through research and on-the-ground content creation, for use on social media and other communications channels;
- Proofread materials, collateral, reports, publications, and other content as needed;
- Align content with organization-wide, year-long communications plans;
- Provide staff support as needed.
Social Media:
- Manage day-to-day oversight and posting for social media channels;
- Execute CCD's social media strategy focused on increasing awareness and engagement around CCD's various business units, including on-street cleaning, safety, and beautification efforts; research reports and publications; business support and marketing campaigns; and park events and marketing promotions;
- Monitor accounts for questions and comments, assist with requests for information and consult with CCD staff to address concerns or criticisms;
- Oversee Google Business Profiles for several CCD properties, including sharing relevant content, updating hours and monitoring reviews;
- Fulfill event/promotion sponsorship benefits on social media based on CCD brand and strategy;
- Curate and organize materials for partners in the form of toolkits, as appropriate;
- Analyze social media performance and trends, as it relates to strategic objectives;
- Create reports for monthly benchmarking and departmental requests.
Content Creation & Curation:
- Write content for use across Center City District's social media channels, website and other channels;
- Review and edit content written by internal and external partners for collateral and other materials;
- Create visual content, including short-form vertical videos and photos, that may be used on social media and re-used across other channels;
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners-including retailers, businesses, contractors and more-on logistics, scheduling and approvals for content production;
- Monitor news and blogs for articles that may be used on social media and other platforms.
Blog:
- Brainstorm original content for CCD's blog (centercityphila.org/blog);
- Research, write, and proofread articles for CCD's blog, highlighting different business units and partners;
- Manage blog output, including collaborating with CCD's team at-large, overseeing timelines for publishing and sourcing assets from partners and CCD's photo library.
Influencer Marketing:
- Research, maintain, and expand on current content creator and influencer partner list;
- Collaborate with marketing department on opportunities for influencer partnerships, including campaign ideation, execution and analytics;
- Collaborate with partners on logistics for influencer partnerships, including logistics and follow through;
- Report on performance from influencer partnerships.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA/BS degree in digital marketing, communications,marketing, journalism/English, or related field;
- 2-4 years of experience in Digital Communications required;
- Agency experience preferred;
- Day-to-day social media management experience preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strict attention to detail and grammar;
- Ability to operate cross functionally and manage competing perspectives diplomatically;
- Strong understanding of current social media and Digital Communications trends, strategies and best practices;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience creating professional content on social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and TikTok;
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite or Canva for basic image resizing and editing is a plus, but not required;
- Experience with Sprout Social or another social media management tool is a plus, but not required;
- Knowledge of photography and video editing is a plus, but not required;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must be able and willing to work onsite in an office setting with flexibility with hours as needed to include weekend and evenings.
Salary Description
$60,000 to $65,000 per year
