Job Description
The Commercial Product & Platform vision strives to develop global technology products and platforms that not only delight our customers but also empower our restaurant crews to operate efficiently and reliably.
As one of two Deployment Manager (US GMA Deployment), you play a pivotal role in evolving the end-to-end production deployment process for McDonald's Global Mobile App. While your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing localization, configuration, canary release, and production monitoring, your focus will be cross functional work and more focused on driving the automation of feature activation. Apart from that you'll have the opportunity to contribute to our larger programs, where you will have exposure to DevOps, automated testing, mobile architecture and much more. You will drive standardization and continuous process improvements to enhance the deployment of high-quality code at an accelerated pace.
Your role is critical in ensuring that Mobile App releases meet high-quality standards, providing robust support to our markets and customers. Reporting to the Sr. Manager (GMA Deployments), you will collaborate with market stakeholders, global product triads, manage deployment schedules and leverage your expertise in coordinating multi-product deployment processes and fostering positive relationships. You contribute to improved quality, efficiency, and the rapid deployment of features that resonate with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Mobile App Releases: Collaborate your peer Deployment Manager (US) to oversee the engineering tasks and processes required for a successful release of a localized Mobile App build on iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive iterative evolution of tools and processes to enhance efficiency and raise the quality bar for production releases.
- Feature Activation: Take responsibility for quality and efficiency when it comes to market feature activation.
- Team Collaboration: Facilitate teamwork between market stakeholders and global product triads, working on large mobile features.
- Automation Evangelist: There is an opportunity to automate and simplify market and global process? - You see it and you know how we could improve it.
Qualifications
- Mobile Technology Expertise: Deep knowledge of mobile technologies on iOS and Android platforms, especially with feature activation and rollout strategy.
- Project Management Experience: Demonstrable record of technical project management or engineering management in an enterprise global environment, handling complex, cross-functional projects.
- Agile Methodologies: Broad experience working with Agile methodologies and expertise in production deployment processes and continuous deployment best practices.
- Global Collaboration: Experience working in distributed (virtual) and culturally diverse teams across multiple time zones.
- Tools/Technologies: Jira, Confluence, GitHub
