Job Description
The Manager, Data Analyst reports to the Division of Workforce & Economic Development (DWED) Executive Director and serves as a member of the Executive Directors leadership team. This role is responsible for developing a Data Analysis system that will track all "DWED" student enrollments, outcomes, and data reports as required by "DWED" grants, customized training, or other training programs. Additionally, the day-to-day supervision of assigned staff and data collection for all DWED programs and initiatives.
With command of all "DWED" management systems the manager is responsible for developing new methodologies for data collection and creating data-sharing linkages with regional workforce data ecosystems for student employment outcomes. In collaboration with the "DWED" Executive Director, the Data Analyst Manager will support presentations, develop, and monitor data tracking strategies, including post-secondary/career pathways education and business plans. The manager will serve as "DWED" liaison to the CSN institution research department Nevada Department of Education and other local and national data sources and representatives as assigned by the DWED Executive Director.
The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Knowledge of leadership, management, and accountability techniques, and the ability to apply those techniques to provide leadership, direction, and accountability.
• Knowledge in census data, or other data collection systems, and skills in completing grant data reports as required by funding sources.
• Competence to develop and execute strategies to accomplish assigned goals, objectives, and expected outcomes.
• Ability to perform the following essential functions:

  • Develop and implement unit-specific policies and procedures.
  • Analyze the performance of assigned units.
  • Monitor assigned budget.
  • Ability to lead and work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment.
  • Oversee and manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Conduct market research and identify selling possibilities.
  • Evaluate business and industry customer needs.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media outlets.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their needs, desires, and concerns.
  • Maintain client accounts effectively and efficiently.
  • Adjust and make modifications in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advocate effectively for the College's programs and services locally and internationally.
  • Communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Interact and show respect for a diverse population.
  • Relate effectively with a wide diversity of constituents & stakeholders.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor for needs of the office, division, and institution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in data collection, business management, OR in a related field from an accredited college/university; OR a combination of education and experience.
• 4 years of related experience in data collection, and in submitting data reports.
• Experience collecting data for grant writing, customized training, and/or continuing education data needs.
• 1 year experience as a lead or supervisor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college/university.
• Fiscal experience with NSHE data reporting system to include AEFLA and LUMENS.

Starting Salary Range
Administrative Faculty D
The minimum starting salary is $75,564.00.
